Budget Safari · Coastal Combo
A short, affordable safari out of the coast — red elephants, crystal-clear springs, and a rhino sanctuary, in three days flat.
TSAVO EAST · TSAVO WEST
Built specifically for travellers based at the coast who want a real safari without giving up a week of beach time to get it.
The route runs Tsavo East into Tsavo West over three tight days — Aruba Dam's wildlife gatherings, Mzima Springs' underwater viewing chamber, and a good shot at the Tsavo West Rhino Sanctuary, all covered by road from Mombasa and back.
It's a lean itinerary by design: no wasted transfer days, full board throughout, and a private safari guide who knows exactly where to be at each stop.
Day by day
An early pick-up from your beach hotel, driving the Mombasa–Nairobi highway before entering Tsavo East through Buchuma Gate.
A first game drive heads toward Aruba Dam, where wildlife gathers to drink — elephants, zebra, buffalo, gazelle, giraffe, and waterbuck are all realistic sightings, alongside hornbills, kingfishers, eagles, storks, and marabou storks for birders.
After lunch and a rest at the lodge, an afternoon drive continues to Mudanda Rock, a well-known viewpoint for lion and cheetah sightings.
After breakfast, on to Tsavo West and Mzima Springs — crystal-clear water, hippos, and crocodiles, with a guided ranger walk and an underwater viewing chamber for a close look.
A scenic game drive continues to camp in time for lunch, with Mount Kilimanjaro visible on a clear day. The afternoon drive covers savannah plains, acacia forest, and volcanic hills, with a stop at the Rhino Sanctuary for rhino, elephant, giraffe, lion, and leopard.
A final visit to Mzima Springs for another look at the hippos and crocodiles from the underwater viewing point, before checking out.
Lunch en route, with panoramic wilderness views along the way, ahead of the drive back to your beach hotel by evening.
